Plant Optimization Specialist

About the Job

As a Plant Optimization (PO) Specialist, you will act as the primary subject matter expert within the Manufacturing Unit. You will teach, coach, and mentor leaders and associates to leverage the pillar methodology for sustainable implementation. You will develop strong partnerships with the Manufacturing Unit (MU) management team and High Performance Unit (HPU) teams, supporting them in deploying pillars consistently and rigorously across the department.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting MU and HPU teams to ensure pillars implementation is effective and sustainable.
  • Driving Focus Improvement activities and coordinating FI activities within the MU.
  • Leading project roadmaps, managing KaizApp and Blue Print data.
  • Assisting MU leaders in project reviews and coaching project leaders on methodology.
  • Organizing and managing Kaizen events, promoting a Go See mindset, and conducting sustain audits.
  • Delivering PO training during academies or tailored sessions.
  • Supporting operational meetings and providing clear guidance for HPU teams to apply PO pillar principles.


To Join Our Team You Will Need

  • 0 to 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, quality, engineering, or a related field.
  • Teaching experience and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Plant Optimization or Lean/TPM principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as an internal and/or external consultant.
  • Proven track record in loss reduction projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured approach, and self-organization.
  • Ability to lead and direct cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Excellent influencing and lobbying skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean tools and methodologies such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Pareto, Kaizen Events, SMED, DMAIC, and Go See.
