Senior Accountant (M/F/X) – Insurance & Reinsurance

Your responsibilities :

-Technical accounting and operations :

• Monitor premium, premium reserve, claims and commission flows.

• Validate the interfaces between business systems and the general ledger.

• Reconcile third-party accounts with policyholders, brokers and reinsurers.

• Manage the accounting of reinsurance treaties.

-Closing and reporting :

• Review and manage monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

• Calculate, record and monitor technical provisions (excluding claims provisions).

• Analyse variances between actual results and forecasts.

• Prepare intragroup consolidation packages and notes to the financial statements where required.

-Regulatory compliance and tax :

• Calculate and record tax provisions and prepare corporate income tax and VAT returns.

• Contribute to Solvency II regulatory reporting for the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA).

• Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards (Lux GAAP, IFRS 17).

• Act as the main point of contact for statutory and other auditors.
