SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (VAT)

Description

• Preparing, reviewing, and electronically submitting monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
• Acting as the primary contact for all VAT-related queries and liaising with external providers for annual VAT return preparation.
• Recording VAT transactions and ensuring reconciliation between VAT returns and the general ledger.
• Managing VAT reporting related to the company’s car leasing activities.
• Reviewing intercompany transaction reports within the MUFG group to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participating in the monthly and annual financial closing processes for the Bank, its Irish branch, and the Management Company.
• Supporting the Head of Finance during statutory audits by providing required documentation to external auditors.
• Assisting the Head of Finance on ongoing financial and operational projects.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement and monitoring of internal procedures.
• Advising the Head of the Accounting Section on accounting matters related to VAT and ensuring compliance with internal standards.

Your profile

• Advanced knowledge of VAT regulations with at least 3 years of practical experience in Luxembourg VAT
• Good understanding of Luxembourg tax regulations and the banking industry
• Solid knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Fluency in English; French is considered an asset
