Why this Role Matters

This role is essential because it ensures the quality, performance, and innovation of tire-related materials through advanced analytical testing. By developing new testing methods, maintaining analytical equipment, and providing technical guidance, the Scientist Staff supports research, development, and plant operations while enabling data-driven decisions that drive product quality and innovation.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop and enhance analytical testing methods for tire-related materials, including raw material analysis and compound reformulation.
  • Identify technological advancement opportunities and design experimental plans to achieve them.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper functioning of analytical equipment.
  • Support R&D, plant projects, and material evaluation initiatives through hands-on analytical work.
  • Coach and train team members on analytical methods and best practices.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to provide analytical solutions and technical expertise.
  • Document, update, and audit testing procedures to ensure compliance, knowledge retention, and reproducibility.


What you’ll bring

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of analytical laboratory experience (3+ years for candidates with a Ph.D.).
  • Strong practical experience with liquid and gas chromatographic techniques, including GC-FID, GC-MS, LC/MS, and GPC.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary, international teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, with adherence to lab safety and best chemical laboratory practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with specialization in Chromatography.
  • Experience and theoretical/practical knowledge in NMR and FTIR spectroscopy.
  • Experience with laboratory data management systems and demonstrated ability to generate innovative ideas and solve complex problems systematically
