Continuous Improvement Specialist (Goodyear Production System)

About the Role 

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist (Goodyear Production System) / Goodyear Production System (GPS) Specialist, you will play a key role in implementing and sustaining the Goodyear Production System, which is Goodyear’s structured approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence. GPS focuses on process discipline, quality, transparency, and accountability to eliminate losses and achieve best-in-class performance across all manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will execute daily Goodyear Production System activities, provide follow-up where needed, and act as a Change Agent — driving engagement, problem-solving culture, and teamwork across all levels of the organization. You will coach managers and pillar leaders, conduct audits to ensure methodology adherence, and coordinate trainings to build and sustain Goodyear Production System capabilities in the plant. Your work will directly support improvement of key performance indicators and the achievement of business goals.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Create the strategic direction to leverage Goodyear Production System methodology and coach managers and pillar leaders to deliver and sustain results.
  • Conduct Self-Audits (Layered Audits) and support execution of the Daily Management System.
  • Drive progress and effectiveness of Goodyear Production System pillar implementations in alignment with the master plan; develop recovery plans as needed to achieve plant KPIs.
  • Support and guide pillar teams in their activities, sharing lessons learned and celebrating successes.
  • Foster a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement following the principles of the “One Goodyear Way.”


To Join Our Team You Will Need

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in problem-solving tools and continuous improvement projects.
  • Good understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Previous experience as a Pillar Leader or Coordinator in TPM / Continuous Improvement initiatives will be an advantage.
  • Strong team-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage priorities and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in tools and methodologies used in TPM, Lean, or Continuous Improvement systems.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Very good communication skills, with a good command of English and local language(s).
