Main responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of valuation, financial modelling, and transaction engagements, ensuring analyses are accurate, well-documented, and aligned with professional standards;

  • Perform detailed financial due diligence analyses, including quality of earnings, working capital, net debt, cash flow, and profitability assessments;

  • Prepare valuation analyses (including business valuations, intangible asset valuations, purchase price allocations, and impairment testing) and develop financial models to support strategic decision-making;

  • Assist in identifying key deal issues and risks, and support senior team members in providing insights relating to deal structuring, negotiation considerations, and SPA-related matters;

  • Contribute to transaction projects across the M&A lifecycle, supporting activities from target analysis and diligence through to deal execution;

  • Collaborate with colleagues across tax, audit, legal, and advisory teams to support integrated client deliverables;

  • Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and analysis to support client discussions and decision-making;

  • Support the development of junior team members through knowledge sharing and review of work where appropriate, while building strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

 

Main requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in transaction advisory is a must, ideally in Luxembourg (i.e., financial due diligence, valuation & modelling, M&A lead advisory);

  • Fluent English is a must, other European languages are advantageous;

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics;

  • Qualified with ACA, CFA or equivalent qualification or working towards equivalent qualifications;

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles (IFRS and Irish GAAP);

  • Advanced skills in MS Office – Excel and Power Point; experience in use of databases such as S&P Cap IQ Pro, Mergermarket, Bloomberg etc. is advantageous;

  • Experience working with BI tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau etc. is advantageous;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Strong interpersonal skills;

  • Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on their own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment;

  • Strong team player with good organisation and planning skills;

  • Strong time-management skills and ability to work towards deadlines; and

  • Actively pursuing self-learning, on-the-job training, and knowledge from other team members.
