IT Operations - Support technician
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on and people-oriented IT Support professional to join our IT department at Luxembourg Airport. In this role, you play a key part in ensuring a smooth and reliable IT experience for our users, supporting both on-site and remote teams in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for users
- Address and resolve support tickets efficiently and effectively
- Qualify unresolved issues and act as a liaison with IT service providers and other departments
- Hardware setup (laptops, phones…)
- Manage onboarding processes, including hardware and software setup
- Manage and maintain the IT assets inventory and restocking
- Provide dedicated support to pilots and remote employees, including those at different sites
- Operational management of our corporate applications
- Maintain a knowledge base of technical documentation and support procedures
- Train users on new technologies and IT policies
- Follow ITIL standards
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve service quality
Profile:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- First solid proven experience in an equivalent position is required.
- Must be fluent in both English and French; German proficiency is a plus.
- Good understanding of computer systems, networks, and business applications.
- Experience with Microsoft on-prem and cloud administration.
- Excellent knowledge of end-user’s devices operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle technical challenges.
- Strong customer-service mindset with clear and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally in the IT field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interest in emerging technologies and hardware.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
