Business Implementation Fund Accounting Specialist

YOUR DAY TO DAY

Fund events under your responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Creation of new (sub-)funds

  • Migrations in and out

  • Fund mergers

  • Prospectus amendments

  • Liquidations

  • Management of various fund structures (UCITS, UCI Part II, SIF, RAIF, ELTIF), including traditional, alternative and hybrid vehicles

Your core responsibilities:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in Fund Accounting within the Business Implementation department

  • Take ownership of all operational Fund Accounting aspects during fund events such as new fund launches, migrations, mergers and liquidations

  • Define and implement the target operating model and NAV timeline in line with internal standards

  • Instruct all Fund Accounting teams to ensure proper operational setup and readiness of inbound/outbound flows

  • Work closely with transversal project teams (Transfer Agency, Funds Dealing Services, Depositary & Fiduciary Services, Market & Financing Services) to address cross-functional dependencies

  • Keep the client event pipeline, checklists and project plan up to date with accurate information, ensuring effective risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle

  • Participate in project calls and meetings with clients and counterparties as a Business Implementation Fund Administration representative

  • Organise and coordinate flow connectivity with the client and/or their delegates, including IT testing phases to ensure day-one readiness

  • For new clients, ensure proper understanding and signature of the Fund Accounting Operating Memorandum and related operational documentation

  • Drive a smooth transition to business-as-usual mode post-event for all Fund Accounting and associated teams

  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of fund event processes by proposing pragmatic solutions and leading Post Implementation Reviews when required

YOUR PROFILE

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting Operations or Business Implementation (non-IT role)

  • Strong technical and business knowledge of Fund Administration in a Mutual/Hedge Fund environment

  • Solid exposure to fund event processes (mergers, new fund launches, new share classes, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Multifonds (MFFA) is a strong advantage

LANGUAGES

  • Fluent English is mandatory

  • Strong command of French is required

  • Any additional language is considered an asset

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT

  • Microsoft Office suite

  • Internal banking tools

  • Multifonds / MFFA (a plus)
