About the position / mission

The teams are organized by business area. You will join the Individual Life area full-time, where you will be responsible for:

▪ Work in an agile environment

▪ Design, build, test, deploy, and monitor your work in Sunbelt

▪ Provide support for our business services

▪ Stick to the principles of continuous improvement and modernization of the domain

▪ Become an expert in certain parts of the application domain with a long-term mission.

The teams consist of a Product Owner, one or more Business Analysts, an Agile Manager, and several developers who operate within the Scrum methodology and work closely with the business-side stakeholders.

Desired skills:

▪ You are skilled in procedural programming (e.g., Cobol)

▪ You have experience with non-relational databases (Indexed files)

▪ You can help your peers improve through code reviews, pair programming, etc.

▪ You master the entire development chain and can push and justify architectural decisions

▪ You have a genuine interest in life insurance

▪ You know how to collaborate with developers from other teams to improve systems and processes in a domain-organized environment

▪ You are proactive, enjoy teamwork, and are eager to learn

▪ You are familiar with object-oriented or functional programming and new technologies (APIs, Event Sourcing, etc.)

▪ You can report on your progress and estimate your remaining tasks.

Preferred skills (not required)

▪ [BACK] Knowledge of event-driven programming (event sourcing) with KAFKA is a real plus.

▪ [BACK] You have experience in designing REST APIs

▪ [BACK] Proficiency in functional programming (Scala, ...) is a real plus

▪ [BACK] Knowledge of non-relational databases (MongoDB) is a real plus

▪ [FRONT] You have solid experience in designing component-based architectures using Angular, React, or Vue.js

▪ [FRONT] You are skilled in HTML / CSS / JS

▪ [FRONT] You can consume REST APIs

▪ [FRONT] You know how to integrate mockups created by designers (in Figma)

▪ You use continuous deployment tools (K8s, Jenkins, …) and monitoring tools (Instana and Sentry)

▪ You are familiar with a code versioning tool like Git.

Plus: - Experience with unit testing frameworks - Use of the JSON-API standard.
