Senior Accountant – Corporate Services
PURPOSE OF JOB
The role holder will be required to administer a client portfolio, under the supervision of a Line Manager. They should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the client’s portfolio, including risk awareness, communication skills with the team, management of statutory obligations / deadlines and good sense of organization.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Independently manage the different aspects of corporate clients active in the Private Equity, Securitization and Real Estate industry as well as for private wealth management companies.
- Lead the preparation and review of annual accounts, interim financial statements, specific reporting requested by the clients, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards (LUXGAAP or LUXGAAP + Fair Value option) and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the audit process for a portfolio of clients.
- Delegate, follow up and review the daily tasks (payments, cash-flow/budget) of less experienced colleagues even under pressure environment and follow-up the status of the annual accounts, tax returns.
- Be a constant point of reference for less experienced team members for learning/coaching and for Line Managers for reporting/implementation project/urgencies.
- Be a constant point of contact for the clients, banks and third parties for recurrent tasks.
- Prepare/review income tax, withholding tax and VAT returns.
- Prepare/review of any other reporting obligations (BCL reporting, CbCr notifications).
- Going beyond ordinary understanding and raise questions to Line Managers.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Holding a Master in Accounting with preferably a proven experience of 3 to 4 years ideally in an accounting firm or audit company.
- Beside English, French and other languages will be advantageous.
- Outlook, Word and Excel knowledge; BOB 50 and Silverfin are an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP, regulations, and best practices.
- Good knowledge of Luxembourg tax environment (CIT, MBT, NWT, WHT and VAT) and commercial companies law.
- Sense of responsibility, ability to prioritize, and respect for deadlines.
- Strong analytical, synthetic and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and management/leadership skills.
- Ambitious, curious and goal oriented.
