Description

Our client is seeking a Legal Advisor who will play a crucial role in supporting experienced lawyers and managing less complex projects autonomously as you progress within the team. Your responsibilities include the following:

  • You create and oversee UCIs, implement amendment projects, and ensure registration with foreign authorities while maintaining regulatory compliance:
  • You prepare, draft, modify, and review legal documents related to investment funds during various events (such as the establishment of SICAVs, sub-funds, fund mergers, liquidations, or policy changes), ensuring alignment with operational requirements and regulations in both the home country and target marketing jurisdictions.
  • You monitor submissions to Luxembourg supervisory authorities to secure the necessary approvals.
  • You actively participate in the operational launch of events, engaging with operational services and, when needed, collaborating with other legal departments and relevant providers.
  • You establish and manage initial or follow-up applications for marketing authorization with foreign authorities.
  • You handle the drafting and administration of contracts:
  • You draft and negotiate agreements that adhere to the Group’s standards, addressing legal and organizational specifics while complying with Luxembourg or applicable local regulations.
  • You contribute to enhancing contract templates in collaboration with fellow lawyers within the Legal Business Line.
  • You provide general assistance in various legal matters:
  • You conduct legal research or support projects responding to internal requirements or client cases (such as expanding permitted activities approved by authorities, preparing bids, crafting commercial proposals, and reviewing business documentation).
  • You follow up on disputes or incidents in collaboration with specialized internal legal teams or contracted law firms.
  • You contribute to the development and modification of operational procedures.
  • You engage in the social activities of the funds, including AGE, AGO meetings, council resolutions, liaising with auditors, reviewing reports, and managing SAQ tasks.

Your profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Holds a Master's degree (M1) or equivalent, with a specialization in Law, specifically in Business Law or Private Law.
  • Exhibits in-depth knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and commercial law.
  • Brings 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in the legal field.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial instruments and investment services.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Word, Excel, Notes, and PowerPoint.
  • Displays curiosity and a passion for research and ongoing monitoring of legal developments.
  • Possesses strong analytical capabilities and an ability to synthesize information effectively.
  • Approaches tasks with pragmatism and practicality.
  • Showcases excellent interpersonal skills, facilitating smooth interactions at all organizational levels and thriving in a collaborative team setting.
  • Possesses strong writing abilities, with a knack for simplifying legal documents for a non-legal audience.
