Located in Luxembourg, we are a service company that hosts Europe's single leading trading platform( e-CAT) for cross-border transmission capacity. On behalf of TSOs, we auction the available long and short-term transmission capacity rights on all internal EU borders.
On the 1st of October 2018, JAO became the Single Allocation Platform (SAP) for all European Transmission System Operators (TSOs) that operate in accordance to EU legislation, since it is able to implement and fulfill all regulatory obligations and requirements. We provide accounting (clearing and settlement), contracting, reporting and project support services.
About the job:
We're looking for a Jr Project Manager to support the company’s change management activities and contribute to successful transformation across JAO.
Reporting to the Manager of Project and Change, this role will work closely with internal experts, the Projects Team, TSOs, and other stakeholders to assess impacts, coordinate change requests, and ensure smooth integration of change initiatives.
Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with experience in change, demand, or project management within a dynamic environment.
Key activities in the position:
1. Coordinate the end-to-end lifecycle of Projects and Changes,
2. Ensure a unified intake process and maintain central visibility of all incoming requests.
3. Coordinate impact assessment in collaboration with relevant teams identifying affected systems, teams, dependencies, and risks.
4. Plan and facilitate project activities: alignment meetings, vendor coordination, cross-team communication, and progress tracking.
5. Ensure timely delivery by monitoring activities, identifying delays, and escalating deviations to the line manager when necessary.
6. Maintain clear project documentation, including scope, decisions, risks, requirements, test plans, and approvals.
7. Provide regular progress reports and dashboards to leadership and stakeholders (e.g., via OnePlan).
8. Ensure documentation is stored, structured, and maintained according to governance
9. standards (templates, naming conventions, version control, repository organisation).
10. Coordinate with external partners (TSOs, NEMOs, vendors) to ensure smooth execution and alignment.
11. Support integration of Project/Change delivery timelines into broader project and operational plans.
12. Contribute to continuous improvement of project processes, templates, and governance.
13. Promote a structured, predictable delivery environment across all teams involved.
14. Actively participate in defining and refining internal procedures regarding Projects and Changes.
15. Ensure smooth collaboration with Operations, IT, Experts, Customer Service, and other support teams to maintain coherent workflows and information flow.
16. Prepare structured and concise communication materials (meeting minutes, action lists, follow-up reminders) to support project clarity and stakeholder alignment.
17. Identify blockers early and escalate appropriately to line manager.
18. Support test preparation and coordination, ensuring traceability between requirements and validation activities.
We are looking for someone with the following skills set:
Degree-level education.
Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, CAPM, PMP), or willingness to obtain.
1 - 2 years of experience in project coordination, or change management. Experience in the energy/utility sector is an asset, not required.
Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, ideally including external partners or vendors.
Strong project coordination and planning skills.
Ability to translate Project / Change requests into structured project plans.
Excellent communication skills to ensure alignment across departments.
Strong organizational capability to manage multiple parallel initiatives.
Ability to track progress, identify risks, and follow up on outstanding actions.
Autonomous, proactive, and confident in driving delivery.
Comfortable working in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
Critical thinking for assessing risks and impacts.
Strong planning, structuring, and documentation skills.
We offer:
⦁ Salary paid on 13 months basis.
