How will you contribute?

You will be an essential member of the Finance Office team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance Office within a team of seven. The Finance Office plays a pivotal role at corporate level, ensuring robust and transparent financial management across the Institute.

 

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will be both a hands-on expert and a strategic business partner, contributing to key financial processes and continuous improvement of the organisation’s performance.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, monitoring, and analysing budgets, forecasts, and cost models across business units and research departments.

  • Supporting management with insightful financial analyses and decision support.

  • Developing and maintaining tools for cost allocation, financial KPIs, workforce planning, and performance dashboards.

  • Conducting investment analyses for equipment and building management.

  • Leading or contributing to internal projects aimed at improving resource efficiency and financial governance.

  • Performing contract analyses from a financial and compliance perspective.

  • Participating in internal and external audits.

  • Contributing to the evolution of financial processes and digital tools (ERP, BI dashboards).

Education

  • Graduate or Master’s degree with a specialization in Finance, Auditing, or Management Control.

  • At least 7–10 years of professional experience in a comparable role (e.g. manufacturing, services, R&D, or public organisation).

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling processes.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Unit4, Business Objects, Power BI, or equivalent).

Experience and skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to organize work methodically.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multicultural teams.

  • Excellent teamwork skills.


Language skills

  • Fluency in French and English (both oral and written). Other relevant languages are an asset.
