European Counsel F/M - German bar - LU870198
We are collaborating with a listed international industrial group, seeking a European Counsel to support its legal operations across Europe, with a particular focus on Germany, the United Kingdom, and broader international markets.
Based in Luxembourg, the role offers the opportunity to work closely with both local and international legal and business teams on a wide range of commercial, compliance, and regulatory topics.
This is a strategic legal position with strong exposure to the business and regular collaboration with senior stakeholders across jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Advise on commercial contracts (including negotiation and review)
- Provide legal guidance on competition, distribution, and antitrust matters
- Support on marketing, advertising, warranties, product and social media compliance
- Monitor and advise on regulatory and sustainability frameworks
- Manage and resolve disputes and litigation
- Contribute to M&A and other strategic legal projects
- Support compliance initiatives: audits, training, investigations
- Liaise with external counsel and internal stakeholders across Europe, the US, and Asia
Profile :
- Qualified lawyer in Germany (fully qualified, “Volljurist”)
- Strong academic background; LL.M. from the UK or US is a plus
- 6 to 12 years of experience in a reputable law firm or international company, ideally with exposure to US-listed businesses
- Demonstrated ability to balance legal risk with business priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of ethics, integrity, and sense of responsibility
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally (15–20%) across Europe and internationally
