Business Analyst – Transaction Reporting
Your day-to-day
- Collect and analyze business and regulatory requirements related to transaction and middle-office reporting
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications
- Perform data mapping between internal systems and an external SaaS reporting solution
- Document data flows, interfaces, and integration processes (APIs, file exchanges, etc.)
- Design test cases and test scenarios to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Coordinate and support UAT phases, including defect tracking and validation of fixes
- Act as a key liaison with external vendors to ensure delivery quality and timelines
- Monitor alignment with regulatory reporting frameworks such as MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, or equivalent regulations
- Prepare and share regular project status updates with relevant stakeholders
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a financial services or regulatory reporting environment
- Strong expertise in transaction and regulatory reporting (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR)
- Solid experience with data mapping, data validation, and system integration flows
- Proven ability to produce high-quality functional and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience with UAT preparation, execution, and coordination
- Good understanding of financial system architectures and data models
- Technical skills including XML, VBA, and SQL for data analysis and validation
- Familiarity with transaction reporting SaaS platforms (experience with S&P Cappitech is a strong asset)
- Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken
- Detail-oriented, structured, and highly organized
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a project-driven, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams and external partners
