Assistant Professors in Nursing Sciences
Your role
The successful candidates will be appointed on a full-time basis and will play a key role in developing and coordinating nursing education. These positions combine teaching and research responsibilities, with a primary emphasis on teaching. Engagement in professional clinical activity will be considered an asset.
Candidates will contribute to the development of health sciences programmes and will have the opportunity to establish an independent research profile in Nursing Sciences within an interdisciplinary and growing academic environment and in close collaboration with healthcare partners at national and international levels.
Teaching:
The appointees will contribute to the development, coordination, and delivery of Bachelor programmes in nursing and related fields. A primary focus will be placed either on general nursing care or on one of the specialised programmes in perioperative surgery, psychiatric/mental health nursing, or anaesthesia/critical care.
They will be expected to take responsibility for the coordination of the corresponding study programme, including student selection, development of training plans, organisation and coordination of theoretical and practical teaching, and programme evaluation. These activities will be carried out in close collaboration with academic staff, clinical tutors, and external partners involved in clinical placements.
Teaching activities will be embedded in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, involving professors, teachers, and researchers across the University’s health programmes, including medicine, biology, midwifery, and nursing.
Research:
The successful candidates will be expected to develop advanced health research based on quantitative methodologies, aligned with the thematic focus of the department and the overall strategic framework of the University. They will be encouraged to engage in interdisciplinary research collaborations within the University, as well as with national and international partners.

Your profile
- A nursing degree with clinical experience in general care or in one of the following fields: perioperative surgery, psychiatry, or anaesthesia/critical care
- A PhD in a relevant discipline, e.g., Nursing Science, Public Health, Global Health, or a related field
- Field experience in nursing education, including theoretical teaching and supervision of students or trainees
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices
- Experience in curriculum development and programme coordination at university level is considered an asset
- Research experience as evidenced by international publications in the field of nursing, public health or related fields
- Experience in academic or educational administration, in line with career stage
- Established national and/or international networks in nursing education or related professional associations
- Open and collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a team, and to foster a positive working environment
- Leadership, mentoring, and team development abilities
- Independent, solution-oriented, and creative working style
- Strong commitment to high-quality teaching and student engagement
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural and multilingual environment
