Senior Compliance (AIFM)
Your Day-to-Day
- Take ownership of regulatory compliance obligations under AIFMD, CSSF circulars, and other applicable frameworks.
- Maintain and update internal compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory developments.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management on compliance matters and evolving requirements.
- Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and external audits.
- Design, implement, and maintain the AML/CTF framework across the AIFM and its managed funds.
- Conduct AML/CTF risk assessments and oversee investor due diligence processes.
- Handle transaction monitoring, reporting to the RR and Board, and manage communication with the CSSF.
- Ensure proper maintenance of key compliance registers and timely submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the FIU.
- Develop and execute the annual compliance monitoring and testing plan.
- Investigate potential breaches or non-compliance issues and report findings accordingly.
- Oversee regulatory reporting obligations including CSSF filings, FATCA/CRS, and AML annual reports.
- Participate in internal governance committees such as Risk, Valuation, and Investment Committees.
- Deliver internal training sessions on key compliance topics such as AML/CTF, market abuse, and data protection.
- Perform initial and ongoing due diligence on key service providers and delegates.
- Ensure robust outsourcing oversight mechanisms are in place and functioning effectively.
Your Profile
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in compliance, audit, or regulatory advisory, ideally within an AIFM or similar regulated investment structure.
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg’s regulatory environment, particularly AIFMD and AML/CTF requirements.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage compliance and control frameworks.
- Experience acting as or supporting the RC (Responsable du Contrôle) function, with direct Board and RR interaction.
- In-depth understanding of AML/CTF requirements, including KYC, investor due diligence, and risk classification.
- Comfortable liaising with regulators, including preparation of responses and regulatory filings.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at senior level (e.g., Conducting Officers, Board members).
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory reporting, compliance investigations, and remediation actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French or another European language is an asset.
