SENIOR EDUCATION OFFICER

ABOUT THE ROLE


As Senior Education Officer, you will play a key role in the development, coordination, and

continuous improvement of ILA’s education programmes. Working closely with internal teams, trainers, and external stakeholders, you will ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality training aligned with ILA’s strategic objectives and quality standards.


This role combines programme coordination, stakeholder management, course organisation, and administrative oversight. You will be a driving force for operational excellence, continuity, and innovation across ILA’s education activities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


TRAINING PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT


  1. Coordinate, implement, and monitor ILA’s education and training programs, including in-house training, in line with strategic objectives and quality standards.
  2. Ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of training sessions, including oversight of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and adherence to internal processes.
  3. Lead continuous and structured evaluations of training content, formats, and delivery to ensure high quality and relevance.
  4. Stay informed about emerging learning methodologies and trends, proactively proposing improvements and innovations to strengthen ILA’s training offer.
  5. Identify, design, and propose new training programs aligned with the needs of ILA members and stakeholders.


TRAINERS, SPEAKERS AND STAKEHOLDER COORDINATION


  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse pool of trainers, speakers, and internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Prepare training agendas and manage speaker coordination, including briefing, logistics, and pre- and post-session follow-up.
  3. Attend and coordinate training sessions in line with the education calendar, ensuring a professional and seamless experience for all participants.
  4. Act as a back-up for team members when required, contributing to continuity and operational reliability across education activities.


ADMINISTRATION, BUDGET AND SYSTEMS


  1. Manage registrations, invoicing, payment follow-up, and post training processes and post training processes.-training processes.
  2. Maintain accurate education records, databases, and the training calendar.
  3. Contribute to budget monitoring, reporting, and shared mailbox management.


ADDITIONAL SUPPORT


  1. Maintain and update contact and member information in the ERP system.
  2. Support the central office with incoming calls and provide ad hoc assistance to the team during events or when otherwise needed.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  1. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in education, training coordination, learning & development, or a similar environment.
  2. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  3. Fluent written and spoken English and French are required.
  4. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly Luxembourgish, is a strong asset.
  5. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training programmes simultaneously.
  6. Solid knowledge of LMS and e-learning platforms.
  7. Good understanding of ILA’s mission and activities, with a strong interest in governance-related topics.
  8. Proactive, autonomous, quality-driven, and highly adaptable, with strong learning agility.
