As an Observability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating our monitoring and observability capabilities, primarily using Centreon. You will create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports that enable IT teams to monitor the health, performance, and availability of our infrastructure and services.You will also analyze metrics and events to identify issues, propose remediations, and support continual service improvement across our IT landscape. In close collaboration with Event Management, Service Owners, and various IT and business stakeholders, you will ensure that observability is embedded in our services and supports reliable, data‑driven operations.You will work closely with the Event Manager, Service Catalog Manager, ServiceNow Administrators, IT Service Owners, and Business Owners to maintain and improve IT processes (mainly event and incident/problem processes) for use in end‑to‑end solutions, project delivery, and ongoing service management operations.

How you'll contribute to our success
- Become the Event Manager in daily activities by providing observability expertise to internal stakeholders and contributing to standard IT Event Management methodology and documentation.
- Configure, administer, and optimize Centreon to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage across infrastructure and applications.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards, views, and alerting rules to provide clear visibility into system availability, performance, and capacity.
- Proactively analyze metrics, events, and trends to detect anomalies, identify root causes, and propose remediation actions to improve stability and reliability.
- Work closely with IT infrastructure and application teams to define monitoring requirements and implement observability best practices across services.
- Generate and interpret reports on system performance, reliability, and event trends, providing insights and recommendations to IT and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to Continual Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives related to monitoring and observability, including documenting standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Collaborate with ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change) to ensure monitoring data is effectively used for faster detection, resolution, and prevention of issues.
Your skills
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT field (or equivalent experience).
- ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification.
- Solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to provide recommendations for the current and future platform.
- Familiarity with processes consuming Event and Configuration Management data (Incident, Problem, Asset, Change) and ability to generate KPI reports.
- Strong organizational skills, detail‑oriented, with excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities to maintain process data integrity.
- Excellent collaboration, customer service and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in French and English.
Nice to have
- 1 year of experience with ServiceNow ITSM processes.
- Knowledge in Linux, MariaDB, and Centreon.
- Experience designing or improving ITSM/ITOM reports and dashboards.
- Exposure to automation or scripting (e.g., for integrating monitoring data, improving alert quality, or report generation).
- Experience contributing to process documentation or CSI (continuous service improvement) initiatives related to monitoring or observability.
