Market Back Officer - Securities Settlement - CDI

Within the Market Back Office of Nomura Bank (Luxembourg) S.A., the Securities Settlement Section is responsible for the settlement of securities instructions via the Sub custodian network, related investigations and computation of sub-custodian fees.

In order to support the department, we are looking for a Securities Settlement Officer on a permanent contract.

Your main tasks will be to :

1. Input transactions of Equities, Bonds, Reverse Repo and related fees on a daily basis
2. Monitor and ensure timely settlement of securities trades across markets and custodians
3. Follow-up of securities settlement problems with sub-custodians, brokers and advisers
4. Follow up of failed trades in the market and communications with operational stakeholders
5. Set-up of databases such as new brokers, links with clearance houses
6. Prepare Sub custodians fees computation, payments and foreign exchange order if required
7. Follow-up of Nostro outstandings (securities and cash)
8. Perform monthly reports (KRI, KPI’s)
9. Ensure internal procedures, process flows and user manuals are up to date.

Job requirements:

1. Studies in Finance or Economy
2. First experience in settlement of worldwide securities and knowledge of securities markets
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel).
4. Knowledge of Olympic and Swift Alliance are added values
5. Very good level of English
6. Excellent organizational and communication skills, problem solving and risk awareness
7. Very good team spirit with positive interaction
8. Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure - Stress-resilient
9. Have good analytical skills, be accurate and dedicated to quality.
