

Lower School Teaching Assistant (7 months contract)
Brief description:
The Lower School Teaching Assistant is a resource person for students, colleagues and parents. The Lower School Teaching Assistant is expected to be aware of the philosophy, goals, objectives and policies of the school and to co-ordinate personal and programme goals and objectives within this framework.

Profile: (training, experience, skills and aptitudes necessary to do the job)
- Previous successful experience working in a school setting with children and students ages 3-8 yrs strongly preferred;
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment;
- Interest in recent developments in primary education;
- Experience in working in a collaborative learning environment;
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment;
- Enjoy working with students, staff and parents;
- Minimum of a secondary school diploma;
- Fluency in English (near native level);
- Good general computer skills (MS Office programmes, internet searches, email), confidence in working with different pieces of technology (tablets, digital cameras, etc);
- Understanding of and experience working with students who are English Language Learners;
- Actively engaged in the wellbeing of students.
