Head of GIOLABS
GRIDX is Europe’s first-ever multi-experience destination in Wickrange, Luxembourg, combining innovation, culture, immersive experiences and community engagement.
GIOLABS represents the immersive digital art center and experiential exhibition business line within GRIDX, blending digital art, storytelling, interactive environments and cutting-edge experiential formats to create a unique public destination.
The Role
As the Head of GIOLABS, you will be responsible for both the daily operational management and the long-term development and growth of the GIOLABS immersive experience centre. We are therefore looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial professional, able to oversee the day-to-day activities, but also capable of shaping the strategy of this ambitious project.
In this role, you will ensure the smooth functioning of exhibitions, visitor experiences, operational teams, merchandising activities and event operations, while actively shaping the future evolution, visibility and positioning of GIOLABS. This role combines artistic ambition and commercial acumen.
Working closely with GRIDX senior leadership, the GRIDX management departments and external creative and technical partners, you will:
Ensure operational excellence and professional daily management of GIOLABS.
Drive continuous innovation in exhibitions, immersive programming and visitor journeys.
Position GIOLABS as a key experiential anchor within the GRIDX ecosystem.
Position GIOLABS as a recognized art center in Luxembourg and internationally.
Develop strategic partnerships and forward-thinking event formats that expand reach and revenue.
Contribute actively to marketing and communication initiatives in alignment with the GRIDX brand strategy.
Strengthen GIOLABS’ positioning through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Daily Management
Oversee the daily operations of the GIOLABS venue, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety across exhibitions, visitor flow and programming.
Manage operational teams, service providers and technical partners.
Supervise merchandising and retail activities, ensuring alignment with exhibitions and brand identity.
Ensure professional execution of public programming, private bookings and corporate events.
Establish operational processes, performance standards and reporting structures.
Maintain structured governance and regular alignment with GRIDX senior leadership.
Strategic Development, Innovation & Revenue Growth
Lead the ongoing evolution of exhibitions, immersive programming and visitor journeys.
Develop innovative event concepts, immersive activations and new experiential formats.
Expand corporate event offerings and experiential B2B programs in close collaboration with the GRIDX event team.
Identify and develop new commercial opportunities including merchandising, partnerships and special activations.
Contribute to long-term expansion planning and concept development.
Marketing & Communication
Collaborate closely with the GRIDX marketing and communication team and external agencies on positioning, campaigns and audience development strategies.
Develop content, concepts and programming input for communication initiatives.
Support PR activities, media relations and public representation of GIOLABS.
Align exhibition launches, corporate events and partnerships with marketing timelines.
Ensure brand consistency across on-site communication, merchandising and event formats.
External Partnerships & Collaboration
Build and maintain partnerships with artists, creative studios, cultural institutions, brands, agencies and corporate partners.
Initiate co-created experiences and innovative formats with external stakeholders.
Represent GIOLABS externally within relevant creative, cultural and business networks.
Integration into the GRIDX Ecosystem
Ensure GIOLABS is fully embedded within the overall GRIDX strategy and ecosystem.
Develop cross-activations and synergies with other GRIDX business lines and tenants.
Collaborate closely with commercial, operations and executive teams.
Align corporate and innovative event concepts with broader GRIDX initiatives.
Your Profile
Proven senior leadership experience in immersive experiences, museums, experiential entertainment, cultural venues or destination attractions.
Strong operational and commercial management expertise.
Experience in partnership development and innovative event programming.
Experience in corporate events and venue activations is highly desirable.
Experience in managing merchandising or retail environments is an advantage.
Solid understanding of marketing and brand positioning in collaboration with central marketing and communication teams.
Good understanding of blockchain-based art ecosystems, digital ownership concepts (including NFTs or tokenized art), and their relevance within contemporary digital and immersive cultural environments.
General technical literacy and understanding of immersive exhibition technologies, digital art installations and related technical infrastructure.
Entrepreneurial mindset combined with structured execution capability.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English and at least one additional European language; further languages are an asset.
