Why this Role Matters
This role is essential to ensuring the uninterrupted operation of critical equipment across the site. As part of the maintenance team, the electromechanics technician plays a key role in minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment availability—directly supporting Goodyear’s commitment to safety, quality, and cost efficiency. By performing both preventive and corrective maintenance, the technician swiftly addresses mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues that could impact production. Additionally, by collaborating with Facility, Calibration, and Engineering teams, this role helps maintain the continuity and reliability of systems, reinforcing operational excellence and long-term performance.
What You’ll Do
- Perform repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance on machinery, testing, and facility equipment
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors working on-site to ensure quality and compliance
- Document equipment issues and maintenance actions while maintaining spare parts inventory
- Prepare and deliver test and process equipment to support operational needs
- Participate in root cause analysis and planning for major repairs and troubleshooting of new technologies
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support engineering in equipment selection and definition
- Uphold safety standards, support roadmap deployment, and maintain housekeeping of maintenance areas
What you’ll bring
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a relevant technical environment
- Solid technical background in mechanics and electrical/electronics domains
- Computer literacy
- Experience in project management
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems
- Familiarity with electrical/electronic systems and sensor technologies
- Proficiency in French; ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic programming knowledge
- Experience in the automotive industry
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial drive systems (Siemens, ABB, Rockwell) including setup and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of English or German would be considered an asset.
