Compliance Assistant Manager – Risk & Compliance
ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure that the JTC Group has robust arrangements for complying with relevant regulatory requirements and mitigation of risk with respect to its Luxembourg service offering.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Represent the Compliance function and provide guidance and support to the client-facing staff.
- Be part of the client acceptance process and validate all the documents required to comply with AML regulations in Luxembourg.
- Ensure the AML / KYC clients files are up-to-date.
- Develop, maintain and control the application of our internal Compliance procedures.
- Identify the existing and upcoming rules which may impact our business (EU directives, national laws…).
- Ensure the compliance of the Company with AML/KYC and data protection requirements, with all applicable laws and internal policies and procedures.
- Perform different tests as per Compliance Monitoring Plan approved.
- Provide education and training on compliance matters (including AML/KYC, compliance, sanctions, …) to the staff.
- Supervise and review the work provided by more junior colleagues of the compliance team when applicable.
- Liaise with the Compliance departments of the other entities in Luxembourg and with the Parent Company.
- Be aware and adhere to contractual and statutory obligations under the Group’s policies, procedures and guidelines, including the Group’s core values and expected behaviours, acting as a guide in this respect to members of the team.
- Support in the preparation of the reports for management or Board meetings.
- Ensure a prompt and professional service is provided to clients and intermediaries.
- Maintain (and/or ensure team members maintain) accurate and up to date records of client entities, ensuring all statutory obligations are complied with.
- Check, delegate and monitor work of team members when applicable.
- Support in maintain all the compliance mandatory registers, KPIs, statistics.
- Support in drafting the annual reports, communication with CSSF, when required.
- Collaboration with internal audit external audit and internal audit of JTC Group.
- Adhere to Risk & Associated Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
- Ensure any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
- Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or a Master degree in law, finance or economics.
- Proven experience of minimum 3 years in a PFS or in the funds industry in a Risk & Compliance function including a deep knowledge of AML/KYC laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the compliance and statutory obligations related to Luxembourg regulated and non-regulated investment funds.
- Able to take responsibility, prioritise, use initiative and to get on with others as a team player.
- Demonstrate autonomy, motivation, enthusiastic and positive approach, good organisational capabilities, excellent client service attitude and proactivity.
- Fluency in English, other language knowledge will be an asset.
