Business Intelligence Expert

This role supports DG SANTE’s Information Systems Unit (SANTE.R.4) by contributing to the development, operation, and support of digital solutions for EU health and food safety policies across multiple European sites.

Essential Tasks

• Gathering and analysing business requirements

• Designing and developing reporting applications using Power BI

• Writing and maintaining technical documentation

• Assisting with system deployment and configuration

• Participating in meetings with other project and policy teams

  
  

Assets

• Designing ETL processes with tools such as Data Factory or KNIME

• Data modelling and elaboration of test programs

• At least 10 years of excellent knowledge of data warehouse design & architecture

• At least 10 years of excellent knowledge of SQL

• At least 10 years of excellent knowledge of relational database systems applied to data warehouse

• At least 05 years of good knowledge of unified data platform (Microsoft Fabric)

• At least 05 years of practical knowledge of data lake/data lakehouse design and architecture

• At least 05 years of practical knowledge of business intelligence reporting tool using Microsoft Power BI

• At least 05 years of excellent knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools

• At least 05 years of good knowledge of cloud-based business intelligence design

• At least 02 years of knowledge of non-relational database technologies

• At least 02 years of knowledge of Confluence and Jira

Non-technical skills

• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.

• Ability to understand, speak and write French and English.

• Ability to work in a team.

• Ability to work with a high degree of rigour and method and, more specifically, to follow naming conventions and coding standards.
