The Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) drives the development of Luxembourg's space sector, represents the country within European and international institutions, and fosters international and bilateral relations through official visits and economic missions.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated intern to support daily activities related to the promotion of international relations in space-related fields. This full-time internship lasts +/- 4 months and starts in September 2026.
Key responsibilities
Depending on the needs at the start date, you will contribute to one or more of the following activities:
Support for the analysis of space policies and strategies of partner countries and countries with high cooperation potential
· Compile and update the information for each identified country into concise briefing documents
· For identified non‑partner countries: based on the collected information and aligned with our space strategy and objectives, extract LSA priorities and topics of interest that could serve as basis for future cooperation
· Summarise, drawing on existing initial drafts, the status of activities conducted by LSA with partner countries
· Analyse the geographic priorities of the space ecosystem in close coordination with the LSA economic development team
Contribute to the preparation of the space component program of economic missions
· Participate in mission preparation meetings with LSA partners and counterparts in destination country
· Conduct a consultation with the national space ecosystem
Support the development of space component programmes aligned with LSA’s and the ecosystem priorities
Participate in the preparation of events or programmes for incoming economic delegations
· Conduct consultations with relevant stakeholders
· Coordinate event preparation with partners in Luxembourg and abroad
· Organise both logistical and content aspects of events
Follow‑up on Space Working Party (SWP) dossiers
· Support the preparation of meetings
· Participate in selected SWP meetings in Brussels and draft related minutes
· Support preparations for the Competitiveness Council (Space).
Academic background and skills required
· You hold or are pursuing a Master degree in Political Science, International Relations, law, or related field
· Demonstrate knowledge of space policies and strategies, with interest in a broad range of technologies and concepts applied in the space industry,
· Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand different topics in depth and synthesise efficiently
· Excellent interpersonal skills, a service-oriented attitude and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
· Fluency in English and French, both oral and written, is mandatory, the understanding of Luxembourgish or German is an asset.
