Trainee - Promotion and Adoption of Space Applications

The Luxembourg Space Agency drives the development of Luxembourg's space sector, represents the country within European and international institutions, and fosters bilateral relations through official visits and economic missions.

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated intern to support daily activities that promote the adoption of space technologies across public institutions and non-space sectors. This full-time internship lasts 3 to 6 months and starts in September 2026.

Key responsibilities

Depending on the needs at the start date, you will contribute to one or more of the following activities:

·       Support the analysis of user needs, barriers and opportunities for the adoption of space data (notably Earth Observation) across non-space sectors in Luxembourg. Activities may include stakeholder engagement, use-case mapping, and assessment of platforms such as Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem and DestinE.

The internship will contribute to recommendations supporting the national User Uptake Strategy.

·       Support the definition study on the LSA Data Center, evaluating its impact and next steps.

·       Contribute to the organisation and follow-up of thematic events and workshops.

Academic background and skills required

·       You hold or are pursuing a Master degree in engineering or science

·       Demonstrate interest in a broad range of technologies and concepts applied in the downstream space industry

·       Analytical mindset with ability to understand different topics in depth and synthesise quickly

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, a service-oriented attitude and strong communication skills (verbal and written)

·       Hands-on experience in processing and analysing spatial datasets (e.g. earth observation imagery, satellite-derived data) is a plus

·       Fluency in English and French, both oral and written, is mandatory.
