SPV Accountant/ senior SPV Accountant

Your day-to-day :

• Manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of SPVs in line with Luxembourg GAAP and internal procedures.
• Handle daily bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate posting and consistent use of the chart of accounts.
• Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts, including intercompany positions.
• Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and monitor all cash movements.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting packs for internal stakeholders.
• Draft annual financial statements and coordinate the entire audit process.
• Prepare required regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams such as fund administration, legal and tax, as well as external service providers.
• Prepare VAT returns and coordinate exchanges with relevant teams or external parties.
• Identify opportunities to streamline tasks or improve existing processes, and contribute to their implementation.
• Monitor operational risks and propose preventive or corrective actions.
• Participate in, or take the lead on, projects related to SPV operations.

Additional responsibilities (Senior level) :

• Support the smooth execution of investment and divestment transactions by working with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure proper tracking and accounting of all transaction-related activities.
• Act as a key point of contact for accounting matters across departments and external partners.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of all cash and transactional flows.

Your profile :

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field; a professional accounting qualification is a strong asset.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience for the accountant role; around 5 years for a senior position.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with tools such as eFront or Power BI is considered an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable collaborating with audit teams.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high commitment to quality.
