Project Manager
Your role
- Lead the SnT Venture Programme and project management across its different projects, from coaching scientists to identifying gaps in specific projects, giving support and advice to overcome them, in collaboration with other Technology Transfer Officers and Project Officers
- Drive venture creation from research outputs by structuring and advancing projects toward validated commercial outcomes
- Identify and resolve key technical, commercial, and organisational risks across projects to enable progression toward market readiness
- Support the development of clear value propositions, business models, and early market validation with external stakeholders
- Prepare and position projects for external partnerships, funding, and investor engagement through structured narratives and materials
- Contribute to cooperation and communication between internal and external stakeholders like the communication team, project coordinators, financial controllers, UNiLu incubator, Technoport, LuxInnovation, FNR and other entities, projects and central services
- Liaise with SnT TTO officers for IP related matters and future licensing
- Monitor the progress of projects from proposal writing to project execution and reporting
- Support teams in securing funding through available funding mechanisms for entrepreneurs
- Participate in designing the training courses on entrepreneurship for SnT researchers
- Monitor quality assurance and compliance of projects, liaise with legal team, when necessary
- Support periodical project reporting according to defined formats and project standards
- Ensure internal communication and cooperation with other faculties and the University administration regarding entrepreneurship and technology transfer related questions
- Assist in preparing and following up internal and external meetings, conferences and events of the Technology Transfer Office related to entrepreneurship
- Contribute to knowledge transfer and best practices in sharing and dissemination research results,
- Coordinate the entrepreneurial community of researchers and contribute with organizing events, inviting inspiring speakers, inquire about the interesting topics to boost their business mindset
Your profile
- Master`s degree or equivalent experience in business or entrepreneurship
- Strong ability to translate complex scientific outputs into commercially viable opportunities
- Experience in early-stage venture development, including business modelling and market validation
- Ability to engage and manage external stakeholders including industry partners, investors, and public institutions
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills to prioritise actions and drive progress across multiple projects
- Knowledge about VCs and other accelerators in Luxembourg and beyond, specifically suitable for working with public research and deep tech
- Relevant work experience with a focus on project management through the entire project life cycle
- Understanding of the Luxembourgish entrepreneurial ecosystem. An existing network in this environment is highly desired
- Knowledge about local and European venture funding schemes
- Basic knowledge of Intellectual Property (in EU and Luxembourg)
- Previous experience in working with scientists is a strong plus
- Experience in software-driven early stage companies is a plus
- Strong project organization skills with attention to detail, accuracy and time-management,
- Knowledge of project management principles and best practices (Agile, PMI)
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of French would be an asset
