Portfolio Data Analyst – Private Equity

Your day to day

1. Collect, review and validate quarterly and annual data received from private equity and venture capital funds
2. Perform NAV checks and ensure consistency with industry reporting standards (e.g. Invest Europe, IPEV)
3. Reconcile and verify financial and portfolio data received from external fund managers
4. Support the annual audited financial statements review process
5. Follow up with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve data gaps or inconsistencies
6. Coordinate with external service providers involved in data collection and input processes
7. Assist with the structuring of new data flows linked to investment transactions and reporting requirements
8. Contribute to the preparation of reports used for portfolio monitoring, risk management and audits
9. Support audit requests by providing relevant documentation and data explanations
10. Ensure strong data quality controls and help mitigate operational and compliance risks
11. Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to automation or digitalisation initiatives
12. Use reporting and data tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or similar) to support operational reporting

Your profile

1. University degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
2. 1–3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, operations or business intelligence
3. Exposure to private equity, venture capital, asset management or a similar financial environment
4. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify inconsistencies
5. Good understanding of private equity reporting standards and valuation principles (e.g. Invest Europe, IPEV, IFRS, local GAAP)
6. Experience working with financial or portfolio data, including NAV or fund reporting
7. Comfortable interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
9. Proficiency with data visualisation or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.)
10. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
11. Excellent written and spoken English
12. Team-oriented, proactive and solution-driven mindset
