MYP & DP Spanish Language B

Join Our Learning Community at ISL!

Do you believe that every learner has unique potential, and that education should nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness? Are you passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that empower students to make sense of the world and their place in it? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

As a teacher in our school, you will play a key role in shaping not only what our students learn, but how they learn. You'll design engaging, concept-driven lessons that invite curiosity, encourage reflection, and challenge students to connect learning to their own lives — locally and globally. Teaching in our Upper School means that you will be expected to take part in the student wellbeing / advisory programme.

About the Role

At ISL, learning is deeply human. We believe in creating spaces where students feel seen, heard, and inspired to take ownership of their learning.

We are currently seeking a passionate and reflective Spanish Language B Teacher-Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP)- to join our vibrant learning community in Luxembourg.

As a Spanish Language B Teacher, you will guide students in developing their language acquisition skills and intercultural understanding through the IB MYP and DP frameworks. You will teach Spanish across MYP (Grades 6, 7, and 8) and DP (Grade 11), while also contributing to a Grade 10 IGCSE class in collaboration. Experience with IGCSE is considered an asset, but not essential.

At our school, learning is driven by curiosity, inquiry, and hands-on experimentation. We are looking for a teacher who sees teaching as relational, creative and purposeful.

  • Taking active part in the vibrant life of the school — from parent evenings to community events to leading beyond-the-classroom activities.

  • Engaging in personal professional growth and bring fresh ideas into the classroom.

  • Engage with AI effectively in guiding learners by having a human-centered mindset, promoting ethical principles and responsible use, and providing the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to create and use AI to complement their education.

We are keen to attract applicants from diverse backgrounds, particularly those whose nationality, identity, gender or race is currently under-represented in international education.
