Business Analyst – Transaction Reporting

Your day-to-day

1. Collect and analyze business and regulatory requirements related to transaction and middle-office reporting
2. Translate business needs into clear functional specifications
3. Perform data mapping between internal systems and an external SaaS reporting solution
4. Document data flows, interfaces, and integration processes (APIs, file exchanges, etc.)
5. Design test cases and test scenarios to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
6. Coordinate and support UAT phases, including defect tracking and validation of fixes
7. Act as a key liaison with external vendors to ensure delivery quality and timelines
8. Monitor alignment with regulatory reporting frameworks such as MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, or equivalent regulations
9. Prepare and share regular project status updates with relevant stakeholders

Your profile

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a financial services or regulatory reporting environment
2. Strong expertise in transaction and regulatory reporting (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR)
3. Solid experience with data mapping, data validation, and system integration flows
4. Proven ability to produce high-quality functional and technical documentation
5. Hands-on experience with UAT preparation, execution, and coordination
6. Good understanding of financial system architectures and data models
7. Technical skills including XML, VBA, and SQL for data analysis and validation
8. Familiarity with transaction reporting SaaS platforms (experience with S&P Cappitech is a strong asset)
9. Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken
10. Detail-oriented, structured, and highly organized
11. Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
12. Comfortable working in a project-driven, fast-paced environment
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams and external partners
